Sara Viragova awarded the 1st prize for Early Career Scientists by the Jed Ian Taxel Foundation for Rare Cancer Research

Sara Viragova, a PhD student in the Piero Dalerba laboratory was awarded the 1st prize for Early Career Scientists by the Jed Ian Taxel Foundation for Rare Cancer Research for her study: "Hacking of myoepithelial-to-ductal differentiation programs uncovers inhibitors of retinoid signaling as anti-tumor agents in Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC)”. The prize was awarded during the “Rare Cancers: Great Unmet Clinical Needs conference, recently held at the Hebert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) here at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
