a) Application of single-cell technologies for the analysis of tissue cell composition, with a special focus on the identification and molecular characterization of human colon and breast "cancer stem cells" and their normal counterparts (i.e. normal colon epithelial and breast epithelial stem cells); b) Identification and clinical development of novel predictive biomarkers to guide therapeutic algorithm design in human colon and breast cancer.
