Research

"Considerate la vostra semenza, nati non foste a viver come bruti, ma per seguir virtute e canoscenza." Dante, Inferno, Canto XXVI, 118-120

a) Application of single-cell technologies for the analysis of tissue cell composition, with a special focus on the identification and molecular characterization of human colon and breast "cancer stem cells" and their normal counterparts (i.e. normal colon epithelial and breast epithelial stem cells); b) Identification and clinical development of novel predictive biomarkers to guide therapeutic algorithm design in human colon and breast cancer.

Research Interests

  • Application of single-cell technologies for the analysis of tissue cell composition. Identification and clinical development of novel predictive biomarkers to guide therapeutic algorithm design in human colon and breast cancer
